Wine and gastronomy dinner-presentation of the Siberian regional specialties passed on May 12 in the restaurant "Chemodan" (Moscow). It was attended by Ambassadors and Chargé d'Affaires of the 11 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. The event was held within the framework of the project introducing the diplomatic corps of foreign countries to the Russian gastronomic culture. The organizers of the evening were: the International Center of Wine and gastronomy, the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia and the Siberian restaurant "Chemodan".
The chamber room, subdued lighting and amazing interior (atmospheric lampshades, antique mirrors, patterned tablecloths and aged menu pages) in combination with live music gave a special charm to the dinner and let the guests of the evening fully enjoy the dishes of Siberian cuisine in the author's performance of chef Olga Ladzina.
Introducing the Hispanics with Siberian food and beverages was held under a tactful guidance and instruction of the President of the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy Leonid Gelibterman. The eminent audience was served with:
- Meat delicacies (venison with pine nuts, cutlets of boar meat with spinach and porcini mushrooms, rabbit pate and pate of partridge);
- Fish specialties (muksun in cream sauce with mushrooms, baked nelma with fennel and tomatoes, grayling caviar with egg on toast, sockeye salmon);
- Beverages: Erofeitch liqueurs (badiane, cumin, anise), special vodkas, Ratafias and liqueurs (bersenevaya, honeyberry, cranberry).
The Dinner ended by the tea-drinking from the samovar. The participants of the meeting were suggested to taste wineberry and Altai tea.
