On the 9th of June the informal Dinner, dedicated to the protection of the Ross Sea area along the Pacific coast of Antarctica took place at the Petrovsky Palace (Moscow). Representatives of 23 countries, including senior diplomats from countries-members of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) participated in the Event.

The evening began with a special video message from the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu (South Africa).
The speakers of the Evening were as following:
- Lewis Pugh, UN Ambassador for the oceans, polar explorer and extreme swimmer (United Kingdom of Great Britan);
- Enric Sala, professor of oceanography, honorary member of the Royal Geographical Society (Spain);
- Jose Maria Figueres, former President of Costa Rica, o-chair of the UN Global Oceans Commission (Costa Rica).
From the Russian side the dinner was attended by representatives of the Presidential Administration, senator, the great hockey player Vyacheslav Fetisov, and others.
The International Center of Wine and Gastronomy was responsible for the gastronomic component of the Dinner.
