Wines of Portugal. Wine and Dine

On the 14th of February in the Grand Hotel Emerald the master class for the experts of the alcohol market and the Grand-Tasting of the Wines of Portugal took place in Saint Petersburg.  


The moderators of the master class Leonid Gelibterman and Tatyana Sharapova allowed the audience of the event to get to know and to get a taste of the wide range of delightful flavours that are produced from the North to the South of Portugal, both by small family businesses and big companies or cooperatives that assure high-quality at competitive prices.

At the Portuguese Wines’ biggest event in Russia there were presented fourteen producers from the better part of the country’s wine regions. From the world famous Vinhos Verdes, known for their lightness and freshness, to the intense and full bodied Alentejo Wines, and even the liqueur and seductive Porto Wines, all will be making an attendance at St Petersburg. These wines, together, have won hundreds of gold medals at major international contests, scoring more than 90 points at Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate and Robert Parker magazines.

The Grand-Tasting, undoubtedly, has been not for the first time the right time not only to get to know Portuguese wines, but also to ensure unique business opportunities.

CAP (Confederação de Agricultores Portugueses), an organization which represents the agricultural sector and Portuguese producers, was responsible for holding the event. This organization gathers more than 300 producers and one of its major goals is to promote national products, both in Portugal and overseas.
