On February 06, the Moscow restaurant Wine & Crab became a cozy meeting place for enogastronomic cultures of the two countries. The best wines from Portugal have found their perfect "couples" — delicious dishes by the famous brand chefs Berezutsky brothers.
Representatives of 14 Portuguese wineries, having previously visited St. Petersburg with a wine salon and a master class for the professionals, arrived in Moscow to participate in the exhibition at the Prodexpo 2018. The finishing of the second day of the exhibition was marked by a business dinner of Portuguese wines, which gathered more than 40 guests in the popular Moscow restaurant Wine & Crab.
The dinner was attended by H.E. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Portugal to Russia Paulo Vizeu Pinheiro and by the Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Portugal in Russia Maria Jose Rezio. President of the ICWAG Leonid Gelibterman conducted an excursus for the guests of the evening to the history of Portuguese wines and introduced each oenologist, whose wine accompanied the dishes serving, to the audience.
Tasting of white and red wines from the leading appellations of Portugal, combined with a specially selected menu of the restaurant, was accompanied by a lively discussion of the professionals of the Russian alcohol market and the "heroes of the celebration" — Portuguese winemakers, who presented their best wines. The participants of the evening appreciated the enogastronomic pairs, the 10-year Porto, served as an aperitif, and dessert Moscatels, which became the final chord of the meeting.
Business dinner of Portuguese wines in Moscow, organized by CAP Portugal, Opal and the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy, became an effective platform for the productive communication and the establishment of business relations between market participants.
