On February 14, Leonid Gelibterman took part in a meeting of the Council, held at the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The main theme of the meeting of the Council on the issues of systematization of cultural and educational tourist route "Golden Ring of Russia" became the issue of inclusion of the city of Uglich in the membership of the National tourism project.
Anatoly Kuritsin, head of Uglich municipal district of the Yaroslavl region, President of the Association of Small Tourist cities, made a presentation of the city, submitting the cultural and tourist potential of Uglich, and gave the city's statistics on attendance.
President of the ICWAG took an active part in the discussion and made proposals on optimizing the Uglich’s website, as well as on improving the activity of the urban hospitality industry. The result of the Council meeting was the inclusion of city of Uglich in the members of the "Golden Ring of Russia".
The "Golden Ring" is a network of tourist routes passing through the ancient Russian cities, which preserved the unique monuments of history and culture of Russia. The project participants include Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kostroma, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov Veliky, Sergiev Posad, Suzdal and Yaroslavl.
