the Second International festival of gastronomic tourism.

The International Wine and Gastronomy Center acted as a co-organizer of the Second International festival of gastronomic tourism "Visit Dagestan 2019".

In the period from 10 to 14 April in the Republic of Dagestan under the auspices of the International Wine and Gastronomy Center was held the second international festival of gastronomic tourism "VISIT DAGESTAN 2019".

The Festival included an international culinary championship, which was attended by chefs and entire teams from Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Romania and Ukraine. The head of the Republic of Dagestan V. A. Vasiliev took part in the opening ceremony of the Festival. The business program of the festival included the roundtable on the development of gastronomic tourism in Dagestan with the participation of members of the government of the Republic of Dagestan, international experts and experts in the field of hospitality of the Republic which was moderated by the President of the ICWAG L. V. Gelibterman. The second international festival of gastronomic tourism, in addition to the main program, included many events, including meetings at universities, lectures, seminars, master classes. All of the above activities for specialists in the hospitality sector of Dagestan and residents of the Republic were held free of charge.

Under the participation of Russian chefs and representatives from 12 countries with the support of the "Barbecue club" (D. Israfilov, Moscow) and Trading Company KIRGU was a large-scale Barbecue festival in Derbent, which caused great interest of the inhabitants of the city, and at the trout pond "amber" kizilyurtovsky district held a colorful celebration - the international fish-battle.

Several Russian and foreign participants of the festival took part in the recording of a new culinary Dagestan television program "Super chef. Children.»

Participants of the Festival were representatives of 17 countries (from Africa, Asia and Europe), which was not only an unprecedented event for the Republic, but also a record among the Russian regions. WACS-WorldChefs President Thomas Googler addressed the participants with a welcome address. President of the Federation of restaurateurs and hoteliers of Russia Igor Bukharov arrived at the opening of the Festival. The festival and the championship were held under the project "VISIT DAGESTAN" under the auspices of the International enogastronomic center L. V. Gelibterman. The Ministry of tourism and folk arts and crafts took an active part in the championship. Given the importance for the development of gastronomic tourism of the festival and the championship, TC "Kirgu", "VIP cooking", ID "Dagestan", PH "Proji", TC "Orbit" and other partners joined its holding. They established special prizes and valuable gifts for participants of the championship.

Orkhan Mukhtarov, brand chief, Vice-Chairman of the Public organization for support and development of national tourism and gastronomy (Azerbaijan); Sedrak Mamoulian, the President of Fund "the Development and preservation of Armenian cooking traditions" (Armenia); Gogi Bazandarashvili, international judge Worldchefs-WACS, (Georgia); multiple Olympic champion and world champion, international judge WorldChefs-WACS Maria Shramko (Iceland); Domenico Maggi, international judge, the continental Director for WorldChefs-WACS in Southern Europe (Italy); Carol James, the judge in the categories of "restaurant service"(Italy); Alan Payen, international judge WorldChefs-WACS (Mauritius); Marilyn Payen, a judge in the category "catering service", (Mauritius); Adriana of Alacchi, international judge WorldChefs-WACS (Macedonia); Uwe Michel, international judge WorldChefs-WACS (UAE); Michelle Annette, the judge in the category of "restaurant service"(UAE), chef Dragos Dorobat, (Romania); George kostich, international judge WorldChefs-WACS (Serbia), Irena Legate, the judge in the categories of "restaurant service" (Slovenia); Iztok Legat, international judge WorldChefs-WACS (Slovenia); Larisa Ryabchuk, international judge WorldChefs-Wacs (Ukraine); Michel Lentz, the founder of synergetic cuisine, the Michelin starred restaurant (France); Dragica Lukin, international judge WorldChefs-WACS (Croatia); head of the cluster "Prichudye kitchen" Tauno Laasik, (Estonia). The delegations of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia included several chefs and specialists in the field of tourism. On the Russian side, the active participation of such experts as H.. Baratov, international judge WorldChefs-WACS; David Israfilov, President of the Barbeque Club; Comset Mirzoyev, the judge in the categories of "restaurant service" (Dagestan); Gayane Breiova, Moscow restaurateur and culinary expert.

The events of the Festival were widely covered in the Federal and national press, in social networks, including foreign segments of the Internet. The film about the festival was filmed by TV Macedonia.
