Dinner in Samara

On November 9, 2019, for the first time in Samara region, a dinner of Peruvian cuisine was held in the Ribay steak house. His Excellency Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru to the Russian Federation Mr. Luis Benjamin Chimoy Arteaga came to Samara to participate in this event.  The dinner was cooked by Rashid Rakhmanov, the best Ambassador of Peruvian cuisine in Russia and Eastern Europe. Leonid Gelibterman, president of the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy, was an initiator of the dinner. Rashid Rakhmanov offered the following menu to the attention of about 80 guests from Samara and Tolyatti: Escabeche of mussels, Ceviche «Classico» of white fish, Tiradito «Amazonico» of salmon, «Seco de Cordero» of lamb, and a dessert - Peruvian Flan.

The guests were offered with an aperitif - Pisco Sour cocktail (based on Peruvian Pisco); the following dishes were accompanied by Chilean wines and Russian vodka.

The welcome speech of the Ambassador of Peru, the history of the Peruvian cuisine told by the president of the ICWAG, the presentation of dishes by Rashid Rakhmanov, the performance of musicians and, of course, the amazing taste of Peruvian dishes created a unique atmosphere of a real feast. The result was a standing ovation to the dinner organizers, Rashid Rakhmanov and the Ribay steakhouse team, led by Igor Gelibterman. Thanks to cooperation with the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy, the Samara Region is waiting for new gastronomic discoveries in the year 2020.
