Environmental Ambassadors Dinner.

The National Geographic Society and the Slava Foundation has done the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy a high honor. For the fourth time now, we have been entrusted with the organization and conduction of the Ambassadors dinner, dedicated to environment protection issues, which has already become traditional for Moscow. On June 26, we gathered diplomats from 37 countries of the world (22 - in the rank of Ambassadors), representatives of UNEP and public organizations, politicians, heads of Russian ministries and departments to discuss the topic «Arctic and Antarctic - the last pristine places of our planet». Special video messages to the dinner participants were recorded by Argentinean President Mauricio Macri, Chilean President Sebastian Pinhera and Prince of Monaco Albert II. The speakers at the Ambassadors dinner were the legendary hockey player, UN Ambassador for Arctic and Antarctic, State Duma deputy V.A. Fetisov, Ambassador-at-Large for international cooperation in Arctic of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs N.V. Korchunov, Member of the Council of the Russian Federation A.K. Pushkov and National Geographic researcher and executive director of Last Wild Places (USA) doctor Enrik Sala. During the dinner, actual steps were outlined to strengthen interaction between different countries of the world (even those ones that are in difficult political relations) in the fight against global climate change. In particular, the international project initiated by V.A. Fetisov, Last Game at the North Pole, was actively supported.  https://www.unenvironment.org/ru/events/un-environment-event/poslednyaya-igra
