Offline participants studied the characteristics of wines, watched presentation videos from Portuguese wine producers and discussed the specificities of the wine market and the preferences of the Russian consumers.
Because of the COVID-19 problems the master-classes on wines of Peninsula Setubal were conducted in unusual format. The ICWAG’s team properly prepared the events in online and offline formats. As producers of wines from Peninsula Setubal didn’t have an opportunity to be in Russia, they watched what was happening through the Zoom-broadcast. Video shooting was from two angles, so producers could see the whole placement. Participants from Portugal didn’t have problems with understanding Russian language, because they were supported by translator the whole time via Zoom. At the end of the master-classes, Russian and Portuguese participants had an interactive, so Portuguese participants could answer Russian participant’s questions. Master-class of wines of Peninsula Setubal in Moscow was filmed by camera crew of Portuguese channel RTP. Also, degustation was finished by performance of Ksenia Devi, who singed Portuguese Fado.
Russian participants of master-classes from Moscow and Saint-Petersburg were impressed by high quality of presented wines. Producers from Peninsula Setubal got an expert assessment of export potential of their wines in Russia and probably find importers.
