The International Center of Wine and Gastronomy commissioned by Ekonomotechniki organized and hosted a presentation of Greek wines. For two days, Moscovites had the opportunity to learn about the wines of this country, which winemaking history dates back to the ancient times.
The first step was the presentation was a dinner, held at the restaurant "Filimonova and Yankel" which featured eleven wine cellars belonging to the zone PDO Naoussa: Vaeni, D. Taralas-Elinos SA, Kelesidi, Fountis, Melitzanis, Dalamaras, Diamantakos, Boutaris, Kir-Yanni, Tsantali, Kastaniotis.
For the dinner there were chosen wines varietal composition of which is predominantly composed of Xinomavro - recognized "king" of grape varieties cultivated in Greece.
The guests, including importers, representatives of the restaurant business, industry experts, media representatives were given the opportunity to taste 16 wines, two of which were a bonus and a surprise from the winery Vaeni.
The dinner was hosted by a well-known wine critic, editor of the portal DRINKT TIME RBC Alexander Sidorov.
The next day, at the Hotel Golden Apple Boutique Hotel was held a master class on the Greek organic wines. Listeners were invited to taste the wines of three manufacturers: Tzavolakis, Belias, Chatzivaritis, specializing in the production of wines in this "category", which is becoming more popular. The speakers of the master class were Director General, for the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy, Level 2 WSET Diploma Elena Baybakova and a sommelier, Ph.D. Irina Godunova.
