Taste of Australia

On November 8, 2012 as part of the "Days of Australia in Novosibirsk" at restaurant "La Maison" has passed the Australian Wine and gourmet dinner. The initiator of the event was the Meat and Livestock Assiciation MLA, which was represented at the dinner, by Mr. Nigel Grosse, director of business development in Europe and Russia. Organization and holding of the dinner was at the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy.

At the party, which was a gastronomic show, guests were able to meet with a variety of meals and snacks prepared by Sergei Kolesnikov, chef of the restaurant "La Maison" made of Australian products delivered to Russia by Australian trading house (ATD). For appetizers, guests were invited to several types of canapés with various types of cheese Australian Moondarra, salad with roast beef and sun-dried tomatoes, and lamb. As a main dish was served Parmani juicy roast beef with potato chips, onion, warm cheesecake with garlic and green onions. Completed the gastronomic evening a savory dessert of cheese with sweet pepper and Australian honey (importer NaturEcoTrend). Meals were accompanied by wines, imported by the Russian company «Fort».

In addition to explore the kitchen Australian guests had the opportunity to test their knowledge about the country, taking part in the quiz.

A special highlight of the evening was a big culturalal program: the shadow theater, ethno-jazz and, of course, a musical instrument of Australian Aborigines — didgeridoo, an impressive both for its size and sound.
